These shorts are comparable to birddogs but at a much lower price. The only improvement I would make is smaller leg openings for a snugger fit. Also, I would like to see more color options in the future. Overall very comfy shorts and I love the liner. I got 2 of these to be a comfortable style of moisture wicking shorts. So far so good! The XL was actually an XL, and the Medium was a true medium fit. I'm a 34 or 36 inch waist. The Large woulda fit me perfectly, but I'm sure the medium will break in and the velcro adjustment straps let me sinch the XL to fit. I love the quality if the zipper pockets and how there are 2 on each leg; one horizontal, one vertical; perfect for phones and wallets!The pic is my a$$ in the medium. They're definitely bootylicious, lol. Great! But, needs a back pocket for a wallet! I ordered 4 colors the black ones came to me with a shorter inseam I love this line of Columbia been wearing them for years I mostly use these type of shorts as overshorts for lycra cycling bib shorts and tights. Say what you will about lycra, it works great for keeping one much more comfortable in a bicycle saddle. Unfortunately it does not do much for modesty. So I wear overshorts when I get off the bike, especially when commuting to work (I don them only when off the saddle).These shorts are nice light weight material, which helps when one runs hot, helping to wick moisture and allow some air. Although I have only used them a few times, I have not encountered snags on the material, like my previous cheap pair of Champion shorts. They did the job, but the feel of the fabric left much to be desired. The Skechers do not have this issue, so definitely a positive.The only minor quibble I have is with the sizing, as the XL is somewhat small when compared the usual XL shorts I wear. Other than that, a nice pair of shorts I am keeping in my regular commute rotation. These shorts are very different than the kinds of shorts I'm used to. They're very lightweight and a little bit stretchy. The waistband is wide and the material seems somewhat "airy". There's two side pockets and a zippered "media pocket" adjacent to the right side pocket... but there's no back pockets and there's no fly that opens. They almost remind me of a swimsuit...That being said, they're very well made and feel very comfortable... They look good and I expect they'll be getting a lot of use this summer. I stand around 6' and weigh around 220 lbs. My waist is about 36" and the size XL fits like a dream. A loose, comfortable style that's not too baggy. They fit as expected. So cute! I am going to go back and buy the black and other colors. I got the army green/olive color and it’s so nice! So surprised at the quality of this sweater. I received many compliments on this when I wore it to my daughters graduation. Her school colors are green so it matched great. I reaIly like these, they are nice enough to wear pretty much anytime. Really nice material with a waistband that doesn't roll over. I like the zip side pockets but wish they had a deeper back pocket with a zipper or button. The supplier suggested to go up one size, I do not recommend that, I am 5'8" 155lbs with a 32" inch waist.. I ordered medium and they were baggy all over especially in the butt. I gave them to my son who liked them and then ordered some for himself. I re- ordered three pair in small and they fit me perfectly in the waist and butt with the length being just above the knee where they should be. I wash them with other clothes and they keep there size. If you have a thick or husky build they may be a little snug for you and that may be why they suggest going up a size. This type of material is stretchy as well, so depending on how you like them to fit either order your own size or go down a size. Nice, perfect fit The shorts are made of a very thin material that you can actually see through and it wrinkles very easily. The back pockets are very shallow, my wallet sticks out. These shorts are not up to the normal Columbia standards and look nothing like the picture. Volcom doesn't know what an inseam measurement is, these were supposed to be near 3/4 length. Nice fit otherwise, not baggy at all. size i order didn't fit the qay i thought they should Love this sweater. True to size. Little longer than expected. I'm 5'6. Goes passed hips to middle of my thighs. Bought a large. Nice shorts and fits well
